THEATRES

·         Arvada Center - Opened in 1976, this is Denver’s 8th largest cultural attraction, devoted to all aspects of the arts.  The Center is home to an indoor theatre for 500 people and an outdoor amphitheater that can seat 1,200.  Musicals, drama, children’s theatre and a variety of musical events from bluegrass to jazz are offered.
In the visual arts, the Center has two galleries with changing exhibits of contemporary art with 15 shows a year.  Over 25,000 people partake in 600 classes every year.

·         Red Rocks Amphitheatre -  Attending an event at Red Rocks is not only to experience the incredible music, the inspiring performances and the thrill of witnessing world famous stars doing what they do best - it's also the enjoyment of being just 30 minutes outside of Denver and at the same time in another world. It’s the rapture of hearing great music along with the occasional sighting of a bald eagle and the friendly sound of crickets.

·         Boulder Theater - It has featured top acts such as Tori Amos, Blues Traveler, Branford Marsalis and Johnny Cash, some of which have performed on E-Town, the nationally syndicated radio show that makes it's home at the theater. The versatility of the Boulder Theater makes it perfect for events ranging from meetings and conferences to live theater, private parties and concerts. Classic in design, with prime sound and an impressive tradition of the best in entertainment, the Historic Boulder Theater unites the past with the future in one exceptional space.

Plans were implemented, auditions were held, and the Longmont Symphony Orchestra performed its first concert in April 1966.  The LSO has played an intricate role in the growth and development of the arts in Longmont for the past 30+ years. The many loyal patrons have witnessed the artistic growth of the orchestra, and look forward to another 30 years of quality classical concerts to the Longmont Community.
